SOMOS Distribution, the global content distribution company part of SOMOS Group and led by Luis Villanueva, will attend Content Americas with a varied offering of Turkish dramas, attractive family series from sister companies, telenovelas, and comedy programs from Latin American producers. The event, to be held from January 20-23 at the Hilton Miami Downtown, will feature the presence of content distributors and producers from around the world and represents the start of activities in 2025.
The renowned SOMOS Group company will present, among other content, the Turkish dramas That Girl, Bahar, and Love for Rent. Turkish dramas are very popular due to their interesting stories and high production values, and they are a central offering of SOMOS Distribution. That Girl, with 79 episodes, tells the story of Zeynep, who dreams of leaving her miserable life behind and becoming a social media phenomenon. Zeynep works as a cleaner in the house of Ozan and Sitare (a businesswoman), and Zeynep ends up meeting them there. Her love for Ozan is platonic. Sitare is the director of a social media company and also Ozan's secret lover. The second drama in the offering, Bahar (114 episodes), overhears on the phone that her father's fiancée (Aysun) is going to kill him. Bahar has a near-fatal accident and loses her memory. She falls in love with Demir, whom she met before the accident and whom her stepmother (Aysun) is also in love with. The destinies of Bahar, Demir, and Aysun are intertwined. Finally, Love for Rent (202 episodes, 2 seasons) is the story of Defne, whose brother gets into debt and is held captive; Defne is forced to accept an offer in exchange for money. She has to make Omer, a wealthy shoe designer and company owner, fall in love with her and marry her. Besides the already described content, SOMOS Distribution also includes Ruthless City, a Turkish drama with 136 episodes, Love & Hope (a drama with 138 episodes), and the action police series Hora Cero, with 31 episodes of 45 minutes each, among others.
The second part of SOMOS Distribution's offering consists of the family series Lucy es el 7 and Gina Yei, productions from the sister company SOMOS Productions, known for successful series such as Súbete a mi Moto (the story of the band Menudo) and Hasta que Te Conocí (biopic of the life of singer Juan Gabriel), which are also part of the content package. In Lucy es el 7, with 20 episodes, the story of Lucy is told. She is in love with Anthony, who has always wanted to be a famous singer and form the first "K-Pop" group. The group must have 7 boys. Anthony has been lucky to find 5 of them, but he needs one more singer. Lucy will become a handsome boy and be the 7th member of the group to be closer to Anthony and make him fall in love with her. In Gina Yei (24 episodes), on the other hand, the cheerful and interesting story of Gina is narrated. She has won a scholarship at the Caribbean Music Institute (IMC) on the island of Puerto Encantado, considered the best place to study Latin music and the cradle of successful reggaeton. Her greatest dream is to compose songs and have everyone know her ideas and feelings.

These stories are proven successes in international markets and also include scripts for possible remakes.
Additionally, the humor shorts from Enchufe will be presented, in 22-minute editions and with 18 seasons. Enchufe.tv is a humor space for Latin Americans and Hispanics where all the characters of everyday life parade in a light and entertaining manner.
SOMOS Distribution will be present in Suite 402 of the Hilton Miami Hotel. There will be Luis Villanueva, President of the company, Francisco Villanueva (VP and COO), and Mariana Villanueva (Sales Manager), along with other executives.
